Jelly Belly was founded in the year 1898. The company has been operational for over 120 years now. The founder of the company was Gustav Goelitz. The company has its origins back in the year 1869 when Gustav Goelitz started his confectionery business. Later on, his younger brothers also joined the business as well. In the year 1898, the company began manufacturing mellow creme candies. The company was very much successful in selling varieties of mellow creme candies, including candy corn. By the year 1913, the company had shifted to North Chicago, USA.
