Zumiez was founded in the year 1978. The company has been active for almost 41 years now. The founders of the company were Gary Haakenson and Thomas D Campion. The main aim of the company was to manufacture various kinds of clothing and gear for action sports enthusiasts like snowboarding, skateboarding and also motocross as well. The former name of the company was known as Above The Bell. During the 1980s, the company expanded at a rapid pace and opened various stores around Washington, USA.
