Huffington Post was founded in the year 2005. The company has been operational for almost 14 years now. The company was founded by Andrew Breitbart, Kenneth Lerer, Arianna Huffington and Jonah Peretti. The website of the company was launched mainly as a commentary outlet, an alternative news aggregator and also a blog as well. The platform has over one million users active on it every month. In the year 2007, the company had launched its first local version of its website, known as the HuffPost Chicago. Two years later, in the year 2009, HuffPost New York was also established as well. The same year, HuffPost Los Angeles was launched as well. Then in the year 2011, HuffPost San Francisco, along with Detroit and also Miami was launched too. In the year 213, HuffPost Hawaii was launched as a result.
