Schlotzsky’s History
Schlotzsky’s was founded in the year 1971. The company has been active for almost 48 years now. The founders of the company were Don Dissman and Dolores Dissman. The initial menu of the company consisted of one sandwich of mixed meats, cheeses and black olives on a freshly made, toasted bun known as the Original. By the year 1981, the company had 100 franchised stores under its name. The same year, John and Jeff Wooley and Gary Bradley had purchased the company for almost $3 million.
