The company changed its name to Mohawk Carpet Mill in 1920 when it merged with other companies like Crouse, McCleary and Wallin. In 1956, the company merged with Alexander Smith Inc. to form Mohasco Corporation. The company was acquired by MHS Holdings in 1988. In the year 1992, the company became a public limited company.
