Snap On History
Snap-on, back then Snap-on Wrench Company was founded in 1920 by Joseph Johnson and William Seidemann. It made ten sockets with different dimensions that could easily “snap on” to five interchangeable handles of varying configuration. This is what gave rise to its slogan, “5 do the work of 50” and shaped the industry. It is headquartered in Kenosha, Wisconsin, USA.
